This vessel is a pastiche of two fragments of Khmer ceramics, brown-glazed body and a green-glazed neck, with the lid (probably made for a small container) added. Such pastiches were created in great quantities from the remains of Khmer kiln sites discovered in southern Northeast Thailand in the late 1960s.
