Manuscript; A section of Guy u Chawgan (The ball and the polo-mallet) by Arifi; Persian in black nasta'liq script; 21 folios with two paintings (fols.9 verso and 17recto), and a dated colophon (folio 21recto); inscriptions (folio 21recto); standard page: 2 columns; 12 lines; folios: F1935.19 and F1935.20 are parts of the manuscript F1935.18 and have been accessioned separately.
Binding: The manuscript is bound in leather over paper pasteboards with gold block-stamped exterior covers and red leather doublures of gold and black paper filigree over a blue ground.

Folio 21recto: Written by the poor slave Shah Mahmud al-Shahi of Nishapur, may God pardon his sins and forgive his faults, in the month of Safar of the year A.H. 953 [1546 A.D.] of the Hijra of the Prophet, Peace upon Him, at the capital Tabriz.
End leaf: Souvenir of Abd al-Baghi, Dhu'I-Hijja 1288 [February, 1872 A.D.]
