Verso: “Portrait of Maharaja Balwant Singh of Ratlam after his coronation in procession in the 3rd week of June 1825. Accompanied by his foster-brother Moji. Riding on the second elephant is Colonel Borthwick, resident advisor and on the white horse, the accountant to the Maharaja, Hirachand. And on the dark horse is Kotari, the storekeeper and master of ceremonies. Sheikh Sirdar Mohammad is on the front forward horse.”
