[1] Object file. Acquired while Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and Gratia Hauge were living in Saigon (1972 or 1973-1975). Curatorial remarks indicate that some of the Northern Vietnamese pieces were acquired from Mr. Goh in Singapore or from Christie's New York.

- Description

Dish with flared mouth, narrow flat rim with raised edge, carved footring and broad base applied with brown wash.
Clay: light grey stoneware.
Glaze: clear, glossy, transparent; mouthrim and footrim unglazed.
Decoration: painted in cobalt blue pigment on white slip. A chrysanthemum with four leafy sprays encircled by a band of cloud scroll on central medallion, a band of four-petalled flower in alternative with leafy tendril on cavetto, a band of classic scroll on narrow flat rim, large lotus panels on exterior.
