The boy hero Kaidomaru, who is also known as Kintoki, watches over a match between a cock and a tengu (mountain goblin). Tengu had the power to transform themselves into guises such as Buddhist monks, which allowed them to mislead the faithful. Here the tengu is dressed in clothing as it approaches the rooster in the foreground.
