- Description
-
Small, thick-walled vessel with wide, slightly out-turned rim, gently carinated body, flat base, round mouth. A loop handle joins the rim and shoulder. Opposite the handle, a pointed tubular spout is attached also to the rim by a short "bridge." The shoulder area is decorated with incised zigszags and what appear to be two rows of fingernail impressed patterns. At the base of the handle and spout are small applied pellets. The surface is light reddish brown. Protrusions or added bumps of clay have been modelled below the spout and the handle, presumably in imitation of metalwork (rivetting). Very thick burial dirt/deposists all over the surface obscure details.
