According to the artist, "On the spherical form I used dots to paint concentric spirals. The image of an imaginary world that seems to unfold endlessly corresponds to an emotion of distance or remoteness. After firing the porcelain body at a high temperature, I fired the black glaze at 850 degrees C. The design painted with gold and silver enamels was fired at around 750 degrees C."
