Small blue and white glazed, square shaped, porcelain cup, set on a small foot. Calligraphy writing on the underside of the foot. Probably slab constructed, the vessel is uneven in symmetry.

Porcelain small square cup on high foot rim, everted lip. Decorated in underglaze blue with birds and flowers. Six-character mark of Jiajing on underfoot, (repaired on lip rim). Wooden cover. Ming, Jiajing era (1522-1566).
