Jacoby description with Louise Cort's annotations, as of 25 March 1990: Porcellanous small jar on flat base, globular body, broad short neck; partly coated with creamy crackled glaze over white slip. Sui, 580-618 A.D. or Tang. White pottery, dirt in pits, glaze worn on rim.
The jar has a stout body, a wide, short, flaring rim and a very short, wide foot. The color of the vessel is light creme/brown with dark pinhole spots over the surface, particularly on the shoulder. Also, the glaze has a fine crackle pattern.
