Large dish with everted broad rim, shallow cavetto, and wide flat bottom, on carved inward turning footrim.

Clay: porcelain

Glaze: transparent, blue-gray tonality; abraded on surface of bottom; five spur marks on bottom.

Decoration: in underglaze cobalt, lines and graded washes; in bottom, surrounded by double line, garden scene with one phoenix seated on a tall pierced rock and a second in flight overhead, a camellia plant to the left and a pomegranate plant to the right; in the cavetto and rim, six large lobed panels set off by double-line border on a blue ground and separated by floral vinescrolls; in the panels, two landscape scenes in alternation–peony plant and rock, and stylized pine, plum, and bamboo combination. Back of plate undecorated.
