Detached folio from a dispersed copy of Yusuf-u Zulaykha by Jami; text: Persian in black nasta'liq script; recto: text, 2 columns, 14 lines; verso: text, The beauty of love is a bird which flies from the nest of unity to the grove of multiplicity, beloved and lover are both part of this unity and multiplicity, 2 columns, 14 lines; one of a group of 13 folios.
Border: The recto is set in gold, red and blue rulings on a paper with floral and animal motifs, silhouetted against a blue background. The verso is set in gold, red and blue rulings on a paper with simurgh, ostrich, bird and landscape motifs, silhouetted against a blue background.
