Paintings gathered in albums were often matched with poems in order to create a series of visual and verbal images. The poetry that accompanies this work, which is a lengthy declaration of love, complements it perfectly. The poem's description of a beautiful woman with a face as lovely as the moon and movements as soft as a cloud is reflected in the figure's smooth round face and elegant gait.
