Detached folio from a dispersed copy of the Qur'an; recto: Sura al- Baqara (the Cow) 2: 1-4, recto begins with "bismillah" one column, 5 lines of text; verso: sura 2: 4-24 and part of 25, verso begins with "yawqinuwna", one column,15 lines of text; Arabic in black nasta'liq script; illuminated heading in white kufic script; illuminated rosette verse markers; marginal medallions; vocalized in black, indications for recitation in red; one of a group of 3 folios.
Border: The recto is set in blue rulings on cream-colored paper; the verso is set in gold, black, and blue rulings on cream-colored paper.
