Surface: red brown patina with incrustations of malachite green.
Decoration: in low relief and engraved. Inscriptions inside of the cup, and the cover.

Inscription(s)

"The inscription on the lid and in the vessel are the same. They read: Fu (woman or wife) Meng ----- (name of maker) makes (for) Wen-lou (?) (name of woman) Yuai-Kuei, a Cheun-yi (a vessel). Inherit to your sons and grandsons."
