Shidoro ware sake bottle

Sake bottle (tokkuri), gourd-shaped.
Clay: hard, fine, grayish, porcelaneous.
Glaze: brilliant turquoise blue on lower body; aubergine purple, lightly crackled, on neck. Touch of turquoise on lip. Enamel glazes.
Decoration: in black (cobalt pigment, gosu) under glaze. Band around waist with two dragons incised; on lower body, scattered roundels with various motifs, painted.
