Tea bowl in hori-mishima style, Kyushu-related kiln

Deep ovoidal, with high foot. Much repaired with gold lacquer.
Clay: hard, dense, grayish.
Glaze: pale greenish-blue over a heavy white slip darkened by age; brown crackle. Pitted and stained. Underfired.
Decoration: incised in the paste under glaze, on outside: two tiers of zig-zag combing.
