- Description
-
Jar, in lotus-bud form, with short flaring lip; broad heavy foot. Lip restored.
Clay: heavy coarse gray stoneware.
Glaze: greenish gray with areas of violet-gray; crackled. Glaze ground off edge of foot. Base unglazed.
Decoration: lotus petals incised, reaching from base to shoulder. Horizontal line incised below neck; closely spaced vertical lines incised above line to neck.
