일본 가나자와의 가가번 영주 컬렉션에서 소장 [1]1897년 이전 뉴욕 소재 Yamanaka & Company가 1897년까지 소장 [2]1897년부터 1919년 Charles Lang Freer(1854-1919)가 1897년에 Yamanaka & Company로부터 구입하여 소장 [3]1920년 이후 프리어미술관 소장, 1920년 Charles Lang Freer 기증품 [4]각주:[1] 이 작품은 ‘가가번 영주’ 컬렉션으로 일괄 구입한 열 개의 찻잔(F1897.81-F1897.90) 중 하나임. 작품을 소장했던 ‘가가국 영주’는 17세기 초 부터 가가번(현재 가나자와 도성을 중심으로 한 이시카와현의 일부)의 영주를 지낸 다이묘 가문인 마에다 가문의 마지막 수장으로 추정됨(해당 유물 기록 중 Louise Cort의 큐레이터 의견 5번 항목 및 F1897.89a-c의 1982년 9월자 Louise Cort의 큐레이터 의견 10번 항목 참조).[2] 폴더 시트 내 기록일자 미상의 메모 참조. 프리어새클러미술관 아카이브 소장 Original Pottery List, L. 689 참조.[3] 각주 2 참조.[4] Charles Lang Freer 기증 증서 원본은 1906년에 서명되었음. 기증품은 프리어미술관 완공 당시인 1920년에 수증함.
